"'One Of You' fled the Czech Republic in 1968 right before the Prague Spring. She was filled with hope about her new life in the west, but was shaken by the immense alienation and loneliness of urban life in North America. Her reaction to a new harsh reality was writing these songs, accompanying herself on the synthesizer. She never learned how to compose music developing her own notation and singular style. Side A consists of three self released 7"s from the early 1980s while the B-side is a collection of unreleased acoustic demos sung in Czech. There's a kind of an outsider synth Nico feel on the first side." (label info) limited edition of 500 copies, co-released with Mississippi Records. highly recommended
