Founded in Chemnitz (earlier Karl-Marx-Stadt) in 1996, Raster-Noton became one of the most prominent labels for electronic music and soundart around. Run by Olaf Bender, Frank Bretschneider and Carsten Nicolai, the huge catalogue includes, next to their own recordings (also as Alva Noto, Komet or Byetone) releases by Vladislav Delay, Robert Lippok, Mark Fell, Senking, Ryoji Ikeda, AtomTM, Kangding Ray and more.
