Colophon is the solo project of Tarentel's Jefre Cantu. Colophon's music builds off Cantu's droning guitar work in Tarentel, but deconstructs it, leaving only the bare essence. The Wind-Up Bird is Joe Grimm sometimes accompanied by Jeff Smith. On their 2nd album, Whips, on the Music Fellowship, Grimm used his Powerbook, guitar, vocals, violin, and horns to musically interpret a post-breakup voicemail message, creating a luxuriant dark dream and a revelatory song suite."
