The Altered Forms Trio approaches explosive, freely improvised music with a jazz feel and an avant-garde mentality. The Leipzig-based trio is a meeting place for three diverse musicians: pianist and composer Gregor Forbes, bassist Robert Lucaciu, and drummer Johannes von Buttlar.
