CASPAR BRÖTZMANN MASSAKER - IT'S A LOVE SONG (LP)

comes with CD "Following the release of his first composition, "The Lovers And Destroyers," with Caspar Brötzmann Bass Totem in fall 2024, the internationally renowned guitarist is now releasing a record with his band Massaker on the German label Exile On Mainstream. It is the genre-defining band's first recording in 26 years, following their last album, "Mute Massaker," released in 1999. "It's a Love Song" consists of two different versions of his song "All This Violence," recorded in January 2025 in Vienna and Dresden with Saskia von Klitzing (drums) and Eduardo Delgado Lopez (bass). Given the current global situation, Brötzmann decided to send a clear message with "All This Violence." He himself writes: "After just a few moments, it was clear: what I heard here had the message, the power, and reflected our current events. None of my studio recordings had this power. And that was only one side of it; it also meant finding the gap between black and white, between light and dark, and between light and heavy. Where should I put all my other songs? I searched for the axis for a long, long time, and completely unexpectedly, it suddenly stood next to me in the room . . ."" (label info)
