"Recorded with long-term collaborator Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Zola Jesus, Beach House and TV On The Radio), the single serves to offer an insight into their forthcoming album and Gang Gang Dance's personal development since releasing Saint Dymphna. 'Glass Jar' is the audacious opus that opens Eye Contact. Beginning with Takahiro Imamura's brief declaration, "I can hear everything. It's everything time," the track slowly reveals itself over the course of eleven minutes. Arguably an ambitious first move, it's a bold statement of intent. 'MindKilla', on the other hand, is a relatively succinct five-minute anthem that exhibits Gang Gang Dance at their melodic best. Here, Lizzi Bougatsos' vocals take centre stage; mixing lyrics borrowed from 'Hush Little Baby', Bougatsos' delivery lends a deeply sinister edge to the traditional lullaby." (label info)
