CARLSTEDT, JAN - METAMORPHOSES (CD)

"The Swedish composer Jan Carlstedt studied with professor Lars Erik Larsson in the late 1940's and continued his studies in England and Italy. He has always composed music that is completely sincere and profoundly human, with unbroken threads to tradition, nature and myth. Here Carlstedt's music is played by Tobias Carron, flute, Bengt Rosengren, oboe, Mats Zetterqvist, violin, Håkan Olsson, viola and Ewa Rydström, cello. Torleif Thedéen plays the cello in Ballata for cello solo." (label info)
