MATTHIAS KAISER, YAN JUN, REINHOLD FRIEDL, NICOLA HEIN,KAI WINTER,SABINE WORTHMANN "For the three compositions on 'Close Remote', Kaiser, Jun, Friedl, Hein, Winter and Worthmann met at Studio Zentrifuge in Berlin on 22 July 2022 to develop a programme involving electronics, inside piano, prepared and amplified violin, saxophone, bass and feedback in dialogue over the course of an afternoon (which says a lot about the artists' understanding of time) and perform it in front of an audience that evening. The recording of this set is now available as 'Close Remote'. I decided not to let all the information mentioned above get to me at first, but only to include it after I had written the actual text, so that I could listen to the music without any visual cues, so to speak. "Breath Signals" / "Remote Connectivity / "Close Isolation" 'Close Remote' sounds impressively ominous, not just gloomy, but downright threatening, even fatal. " (label info)
