"'Natural electronic music' is how producer and sound engineer Michael Springer aka Phanton describes his music. And that's pretty spot on. What we hear is warm, earthy and at times slightly eccentric dance music, built on a foundation of organic grooves. Its unique character is created through acoustic instruments, which are looped and processed to generate the final electronic sound. African influences paired with 1980s Krautrock, produce an almost ritual-like, shamanic undertone, in which the minimal sound of the precisely tuned percussions stands out.
