"aufabwegen welcomes stock11! stock11 is a collective of composers, musicians and sound engineers that engage in a new form of artistic production. they favour the collective over the single work, they appear in festivals as a group of like-minden artists and thereby strengthening each others works. all members of stock11 have their expertise in certain fields of contemporary music, hence the stylistic range of this new compilation is very broad and refreshing. it ranges from conceptual, almost noise like pieces (Uwe Rasch, Maximilian Marcoll) to sound poetry works (Christoph Ogiermann & Juergen Palmtag) and and funny theatrical moments (Jennifer Walshe) to modern chamber music (Hannes Seidl), albeit somewhat destroyed. These strong new works are all tied together by short 1-minute long miniatuires by the laptop duo taste (Martin Schuettler & Mark Lorenz Kysela). The CD comes in a full colour artwork designed by Christa Marek with an essay by Tim Schomacker. Mastering by Sebastian Schottke. All pieces were recorded and mastered at ZKM Karlsruhe.
