YANG, YING - THE IMMORTAL MOUNTAIN (LP)

This is the name of my debut album-an interpretation of the six-dimensional sonic space inspired by Zhuangzi's ancient philosophical concept of the Six Extremes/ six points, It all began in late 2023 with a single thought in my mind: What new possibilities could emerge between the violin and the modular synthesizer? From that seed, a direction began to take shape. In the spring of 2024, I gradually formed a band. Between March and June, we rehearsed, explored, and shaped our musical language together. I started using VCV Rack as a compositional aid, sketching out ideas and scores, which evolved through collaboration with the band. On November 10th, 2024, we spent an entire day recording at Stricker Studios in Hilden. Musicians involved: Tim von Malotki, Darius Heid, Andy Hafner, Emil Buchholtz , Ying Yang .
