Camp Inc. spielen Musik, die sie im Club nicht auflegen

Camp Inc. sind die Kölner DJs, Produzenten und Autoren Roland Wilhelm & Sebastian Ingenhoff. Die beiden betreiben das Tapelabel Camp Magnetics. In ihrem eigenen Analog-Liveset werden 303-Basslines, brutale Drum Machines, funky Kickdrums und klappernde Samples zu einem schrägen, clubtauglichen Ganzen fusioniert. Ihre Debüt-EP erscheint am 19. Oktober auf »Low Hanging Fruit«.

a-musik at Galerie Thomas Flor: 12k

During the groupshow Was ist das beste Mittel gegen alles Identische? Identität (28.09.-16.11.2013) a-musik presents the label 12k, founded by Taylor Deupree in 1997, at the Galerie Thomas Flor in Berlin.

The opening is on 27.09. from 19:00 on.
 
The gallery is located at Mehringdamm 34 in Berlin-Kreuzberg 61 and is opened tuesday to friday from 14:00 to 19:00 and on saturday from 12:00 to 18:00

We also got some new artists' records / experimental music in our small store inside the gallery.

A Young Person's Guide to Phill Niblock

In einer durch subjektive Musikauswahl unterbrochenen Lecture stellt Till Kniola die Musik des US-amerikanischen Komponisten und Filmkünstlers Phill Niblock vor. Beleuchtet werden auch die Einflüsse, die Niblock auf andere Musiker ausübte und seine Aktivitäten als Netzwerker und Veranstalter.

testcard 23: Releaseparty

Dieser Tage erscheint die neue, großartige Nummer 23 der testcard, das Thema lautet "Transzendenz". Um das Ganze gebührend zu feieren, machen sich die Redakteure Johannes Ullmaier und Holger Adam auf den Weg von Mainz bzw. Wiesbaden nach Köln. Bei a-musik stellen die beiden die neue Ausgabe vor, um im Anschluß daran, gemeinsam mit den hiesigen Redaktionskollegen Wolfgang Brauneis und Christian Werthschulte, Schallplatten aus der Abteilung Transzendenz aufzulegen. Zudem dürften einige der zahlreichen Kölner testcard-Autor_innen vor Ort sein.
